Pinpoint Branding 0.3.1 has been released
Our new version of Pinpoint Branding has just gone live with a few improvements to the workflow of our Signatures module as well as some enhancements application-wide.
Signatures
One problem we identified with Signatures as they were before was that any changes you made to a signatures styling or fields were immediately applied to your outgoing mail. This meant that you would have to work incredibly quickly to get things the way they should be before any mail went out.
We alleviated this by adding a Publish and Revert functionality. You can make as many changes as you like, sure in the knowledge that none of your changes are being applied to any outgoing mail. Once you are happy that the changes are complete, you can click on "Publish" and the changes were then pushed to your live version. Of course, if you made changes you didn't like, you could just click "Revert" to go back to your currently published version and start tweaking again from scratch.
Because having the Publish and Revert functionality gives you that safety net while editing your signatures, we made the entire signature editor work on an auto-saving mechanism. If you edit one field, or tweak one style, that change is automatically saved, ready to be applied by Publishing or switched back by Reverting. This means there are fewer steps involved when editing signatures. No more need to remember to hit "Save" in two possible locations.
Additional Tweaks
Other edits that users may notice is that the Addresses module now uses the same drop-down selector as the other modules. We have also incorporated our filter field on the drop down selectors application-wide so you can quickly filter a long list as you type. If you don't see it right now, thats probably because you do not have enough entries in that list for it to display; it only displays when you have 10 or more items in that drop down list.
We hope that our current users enjoy the new changes. If you have any feedback, feel free to tell us how much you hate it or love it in the comments. Or alternatively, feel free to share your ideas for Pinpoint Branding in the handy-dandy Feedback Forum tab in the application.
